Chile is really jumping on the black thrash bandwagon lately, and the country’s newest addition is a band called Trastorned. Granted, the band was formed all the way back in 2009, but it’s only now that the band is releasing its debut album, “Into The Void.” Trastorned focuses on dirty thrash that moves at a fast pace. With both cobwebs and upside-down crosses in the band’s bold logo, there’s little doubt about where this band is headed. It also sounds pretty cool, at least at times. They don’t always hit the mark, but overall, this is a good black thrash album. The bassist is especially fun to listen to as he pulls off some acrobatics. It’s unoriginal to the core, and we’ve heard similar bands a thousand times before. So, my enthusiasm is a bit lukewarm despite liking what I hear.
Released January 27th, 2023 on Dying Victims Productions.
