Spanish Rancor is now releasing their fourth album. The band plays a type of thrash metal inspired by the early American thrash bands. I struggle to find much positive to say about Rancor as most aspects of the band and “Bury The World” are of mediocre quality. The sound on the album is thin, the vocalist shouts more than he sings, the songs are dull, the logo is catastrophic for a thrash band, and the cover artwork is comically cheesy. However, I find Jorge Serrano’s bass playing exciting. He performs some maneuvers on the bass that are quite extraordinary. Apart from that, I don’t have much positive to report about “Bury the World”.
