Intent is an American thrash metal band that previously released the album “Vox Populi” in 2018. “Exile” sounds decent, but very typical American thrash metal. So much so that listening to the album quickly becomes boring. The band is by no means bad – it is well-played and there is a lot of energy in the music – but some original ideas would have been welcome. Unfortunately, Intent becomes a band that is likely to be forgotten by me. I do like the cover art by Mark Richards. It looks cool and fits the album. Sadly the music is just too predictable. Maybe next time!
