Headshot“ is a German thrash metal band that started in 1993 and is thus approaching thirty years rapidly. However, the band has not been very active in the last ten years, and their last studio album was released in 2011. So now it is time to release the sequel “Eyes of the Guardians” – their sixth album. Only Olaf Danneberg has been with the band since the beginning, while the rest of the gang joined after the millennium. The newest member joined as recently as 2019. What sets Headshot apart from most other German thrash metal bands is that they have a female vocalist. However, Daniela Karrer has only been with the band since 2008 and has only sung on “Synchronicity” from 2011 previously. She has a powerful and good voice that fits the band’s music well. Other than that, Headshot becomes a bit too traditional and boring. There are so many thrash bands out there, and Headshot is probably not even among the top hundred. So unfortunately, this will likely be an album that won’t be brought out very often.
