Danish band Exelerate started in 2012 and released an EP called “E0” in 2014. Since then, they have only released singles. Now, their debut album, also called “Exelerate”, is finally ready, and it has become a solid record consisting of a mix of power and thrash metal. What surprises with Exelerate is the band’s vocalist Stefan Jensen, who possesses a powerful heavy metal voice that masters both high tones and more aggressive vocals. The songs could have been stronger, but overall, this is quite a robust album. Recommended for fans of Nevermore, Annihilator, and Flotsam and Jetsam. All band members are connected to heavy metal band Street Fighter, that also have a new album in 2023. But Exelerate are much more aggressive and thrash metal. This band as potential, so if the can write even better songs I hope they continue making albums.
