Disarray is a relatively new Swedish thrash metal band that formed in 2022. Not only is the band young, but its four members are also quite youthful, ranging from their late teens to early twenties. Yet, these guys play remarkably well, delivering top-tier, hard-hitting thrash metal. Disarray plays with exceptional tightness, with one killer riff following another. Their music evokes memories of bands like Nekromantheon, Deathhammer, and Antichrist.
“Religious Disease” is the band’s second album, following their debut “Evil Is Reborn” released just last year. Releasing two albums in two years is no small feat! The leap in quality between the debut and this release is significant. “Evil Is Reborn” struggled with weak production and an amateurish feel, including a poorly designed cover image of children around a pentagram with a clumsily photoshopped logo. Now, everything has changed: the production is solid, the cover is much more polished, and the logo has been greatly improved.
While the debut was independently released, Disarray now has the support of the record label Jawbreaker, which has undoubtedly elevated the quality of their work. Disarray has created a fantastic thrash metal album they can be proud of. Now, we can only hope that they reach an audience beyond the innermost circle of thrash metal fans, because Disarray truly deserves it.
