American band Enforced is here with their third album. Their debut album, “At the Walls,” came out in 2019, followed by “Kill Grid” in 2021. We’re talking about thrash metal here, with a touch of hardcore, often referred to as crossover. However, this is much more traditional thrash, so I wouldn’t categorize Enforced as crossover. Even though both of their previous albums were good, “War Remains” might be the band’s best album yet. It sounds aggressive and heavy, and the performance is solid. The number of tough riffs on this album is very high. When you add in the powerful vocals of Knox Colby, with his amusing name, it’s time to enjoy some top-notch thrash metal.
