From Canada, we have the thrash metal band Terrifier, here with their third album. Terrifier’s music is firmly rooted in the 80s but cranks up the tempo, brutality, and aggression. The result has turned out very well indeed. The production is fantastic, and the band’s handling of their instruments is top-notch. The production is a couple of notches above their previous albums. When the band’s songs also come with a wealth of killer riffs and a vocalist who can really scream, there’s nothing left to do but applaud. Terrifier has crafted a top-notch thrash metal album that demands respect. As a big bonus, the band enlisted the legendary Ed Repka, known from bands like Megadeth and Death, to create the cover artwork – so be sure to check out “Trample the Weak, Devour the Dead.”
